Eight episodes based on the screenplay by Ingmar Bergman

 The director places the characters in a closed chamber space in which, like in a documentary, eight episodes from the life of a man and a woman, eight fragments of their relationship take place. What it's like just to be together, to have dinner at the same table, to lie down in a common bed. In the routine of this story, in the discord of each personal cosmos, the chaos of the modern world is reflected, of which man is a part. Trying to grasp the meaning of life, slipping away like sand from under their feet, the heroes go through a difficult path for both.
