"IVANOV." RUSSIAN HAMLET Kommersant" based on the play by A.P. Chekhov

Almost a century and a half has passed since A.P. Chekhov wrote one of his first “full-length” plays, but “Ivanov” still remains a mystery, a locked box without a key, a reason for deep and controversial research by theater historians, psychologists and, of course, directors trying to "crack the code" of the play.
St. Petersburg director Roman Gabria also offers his own key to "Ivanov". Who is his Ivanov? Another "superfluous man"? "A man in a case"? A neurasthenic? Or is he simply one of us?"
