Mission Sert (1872–1950). Born Maria Sofia Olga Zinaida Godebska. Pianist, hostess of a fashionable Parisian artistic salon. Studied under Gabriel Fauré. She patronized artists. She became friends with Diaghilev in 1908 after the Paris premiere of Boris Godunov, and their friendship continued until the death of Diaghilev, who turned to her for advice in personal, artistic, and financial matters. Provided active support to the Russian Seasons. Helped with money many times.

In 1929, together with Coco Chanel, she paid for Diaghilev's funeral.
